Um, let me think about that, oui. Like I wouldn’t. Like anyone wouldn’t. Having had the privilege of relatively recent entry into Karl’s orbit, I’d quite honestly fly to Paris to clean out his fridge and recycle his Diet Coke bottles.
But as anyone who is a fan of Chanel and the man behind it knows, the madly prolific Lagerfeld—in between producing eight annual Chanel collections (often shown in exotic, far-flung locales), five for Fendi, and his own collection; shooting Chanel and Fendi campaigns, magazine covers, and fashion sessions; sketching; painting; and generally being the smartest man in the room—also likes to make movies.

Ahead of the Mademoiselle Privé exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in London this October, Chanel has released a very special trailer to give you an idea of what to expect. From the label’s haute-couture and high-jewellery collections to Chanel No5, the exhibition will celebrate the fashion house’s most illustrious wares – watch Kristen, Keira, Julianne, Lily Rose and Vanessa get you in the mood below.
Doors will open from October 13 to November 1 2015 at the Saatchi Gallery.
Sitting in the director’s chair, Karl Lagerfeld wrapped the two-day shoot at Luc Besson’s studio in Paris last month, and conceived the intriguing storyline: A fictional, behind-the-scenes look at a yet-to-be-made biopic about founder Gabrielle Chanel.
Stewart is to portray an actress slated to impersonate the designer as a young woman, while Geraldine Chaplin, who has portrayed a middle-aged Chanel in previous films by Lagerfeld, is in the frame, too.
Lagerfeld said Stewart, best known for the “Twilight” series and her recent turn in “Still Alice,” relished the role, and played it to the hilt. “She played it really, really mean,” he said. “You only see her in tests and she’s complaining about everything. She’s mean with the director; mean with the producer.”
Much of the movie takes place in the office of the would-be film’s producer, and a corridor. Lagerfeld conceived the plot, dialogue, costumes and casting, also roping in Harper’s Bazaar editor Laura Brown to portray an American journalist. “They make so many movies about Chanel, why can’t I make one?” he shrugged.

We went [as guests] of Chanel, and it was lovely. Kristen and I had been working together for several years at that point, so it was really more like a family vacation. We stayed at Le Meurice, across the street from the Jardin des Tuileries.
The trip was jam packed with dinners, drinks, and events.
Kristen and I went to two shows together: Zuhair Murad, which was small — only two rows — and Chanel, which was on a much grander scale.
That show was at the Grand Palais, and it was a sweltering 105 degrees, so everyone was sweating in their Chanel looks.
Kristen wore the classic tweed blazer, which we mixed up with some leather gloves and cut-offs. She got a LOT of attention.
This was before she starred in the Chanel campaigns; by the time we returned the following year, Kristen was the face of the brand.
Here is the masterpost of the Chanel Cruise 2015/2016 Fashion Show In Seoul – May 4th, 2015.
I’ve added 47 new fanpics of Kristen, wearing Chanel SS15 Haute Couture.
