Chanel just announced the name of the one who will be the incarnation of its latest perfume, Gabrielle Chanel. The chosen one : Kristen Stewart, the rue Cambon house’s muse who, like Coco before her, Perfectly embodies a freedom of tone at all times.
When the Chanel house imagines a perfume in homage to Gabrielle Chanel, guided by the mantra of Coco “Choosing, wanting, being”, it is quite naturally that it turns to a muse of shock to bring it to life. And who better than Kristen Stewart, ambassador of the house since 2013, who represents audacity and unfailing freedom, like Coco before her? While she will present Come Swim, her first short film in Cannes this year, as a director, the 27-year-old actress poses for the occasion under the camera of Karim Sadli in an enigmatic photo campaign. If, for now, the mystery remains on its fragrance, signed by Olivier Polge, we already know that the video was entrusted to the young British director, Ringan Ledwige. Scheduled for a 2017 fall release…

Screencaps to come soon.
The designer also conscripted three powerful women for the spots: Kristen Stewart, Cara Delevingne and Caroline de Maigret. It is understood the personalities were shot separately, not as a group, and that this is the first time a man has appeared in a Chanel handbag ad.
